Adam Ralston and Alan Thompson: An online showcase of brand new work

25 January - 8 February 2019

Welcome to the online showcase for a large selection of brand new plein air paintings from Gallery-artists Adam Ralston and Alan Thompson. This is an online-only Gallery.

From his recent travels to Venice, Adam Ralston has painted a series of beautiful impressionist works depicting the Grand Canal, Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, San Giorgio Maggiore, and the Gallerie dell'Accademia. In off-weather days, he has painted a range of stunning still life breakfast scenes — a range of cereal box favourites rendered with a sophisticated understanding of colour and composition — so the milks shimmers, the toast steams, and citrus fruit lets off an almost palpably delicious aroma.

Widely respected by his fellow artists for his skills in observation, Alan Thompson has delivered a range of cityscape and landscape paintings, bearing a remarkable truthfulness to their subjects. A fixture of his native Hyde, Alan can often be found painting out in the field, giving expression to the enduring forms in towns and cities; but when peace and quiet is needed, Alan heads to the countryside to lend his brush to natural things.

Every painting in this online showcase is under £600, and we are offering, for two weeks only, free delivery for every online purchase.
