For a decade, Jean Hobson has been documenting Manchester’s growing urbanisation, looking primarily at the architectural transformation of the city. This solo exhibition unifies a collection of artwork dating from 2007 to 2017, spanning over ten years to tell the history of our city through visual images. Jean remembers the post-industrial buildings that have since been demolished, and celebrates the post-modern districts that shape Manchester today.

Jean has been exhibiting at Contemporary Six since 2010, and her work ranges from remarkably detailed pencil drawings to radiant gouache paintings, and marvellously modern screen prints. If you've collected Jean's artwork in the past or have always been a fan,  then we recommend that you seize the unique opportunity to view the evolution of her work at her solo show at Contemporary Six.

Please come and join us at the preview of the show, to meet Jean and enjoy a glass of wine. The preview will be held on the evening of 28 September 2017 from 17:00 - 20:00. To attend RSVP to
